Companies That "Grind"
Directional signals can be gold in the markets. They’re not perfect, but they spark questions, surface patterns, and point out the outliers.
Investors have always loved companies that "grind." Jared Sleeper introduced "Grind Score" in a recent tweet. We were intrigued.
We went ahead and calculated the Grind Score for all US-based public and private companies. Free to explore for everyone.

Notes:
1. Calculation
a. Positive Business Outlook was taken as is (%)
b. Work Life Balance (score from 1-5) was normalized using (score-min)/range, i.e., (score-1)/4
2. Coverage
a. Grind Score > 1
b. US-based companies
c. VC/PE backed private companies + public companies
d. >100 Glassdoor reviews
e. Positive Business Outlook > 50% (to remove companies that only make the list due to very low WLB)
f. Excludes merged and acquired companies
