We take privacy seriously. This Privacy Statement (“Statement") sets out our privacy practices in relation to processing of any Personal Data by us. This Statement applies when you: (a) access, use or interact in any manner with our services including our websites (www.synaptic.com; www.app.synaptic.com), the Synaptic Insights mobile application, and to any other services or products provided by us which hyperlink or display this Statement (collectively, our “Services”), or (b) attend any virtual or physical events organized by us.

Synaptic Entity Details
In this Statement, references to ‘Synaptic,’ ‘we’, ‘us’ or the ‘Company’ are references to Vy Labs Technologies Private Limited, a company incorporated in India having its place of business at SF-221, 2nd floor, IT Complex, JMD Megapolis, Village Tikri, Sohna Road, Gurgaon, Haryana-122001 and its relevant affiliates.
Definitions
"Company" (referred to as either "the Company", "We", "Us" or "Our") refers to Vy Labs Technologies Private Limited.
"Data Controller", for the purposes of the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), refers to the Company as the legal person which alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means of the processing of Personal Data.
“EU” shall mean the European Union.
“EEA” shall mean the European Economic Area.
“GDPR” shall mean the General Data Protection Regulation.
“Personal Data” means any information that identifies or relates to a particular individual and includes information referred to as ‘personal information’ under applicable data privacy laws, rules, or regulations.
For the purposes of GDPR, Personal Data means any information relating to You such as a name, an identification number, location data, online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity.
“Standard Contractual Clauses” or “SCCs” means a reference to the legal instruments ratified by the European Commission, as updated in 2021, to safeguard personal data transferred outside the EEA.
"You" means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.
Under GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), You can be referred to as the Data Subject or as the User as you are the individual using the Service.
Applicability of this other terms
You agree that other terms may also apply to your use of our Services, or in relation to your attendance of any our events. These can include without limitation the terms of any agreement or purchase orders entered between you and us. Any third-party services integrated into our services are governed by their respective terms and privacy practices and we are not responsible for the same.
Children's Privacy
Our Services are not aimed at children. To validly use our Services, or to attend our events, individuals should be at least eighteen (18) years of age. We do not separately identify, knowingly collect or intend to collect, any information that is specific to children and use reasonable efforts to verify that individuals under 18 do not provide us with personal data.
Information we collect
Information that you provide. We receive and store certain Personal Data that you provide to us. If you request a trial of our Services, enter into an agreement with us to avail our Services, download certain content (including any reports), sign-up to obtain additional information or communication (e.g., through any ‘Contact Us’ or similar feature), register for an event, participate in a survey or request support, including customer and technical support – in all such cases, we may ask you to share your contact information, including name, job title, company name, postal address, phone number, email address or username and password.
If you use or interact with our Services or emails, we will collect information about your device and your usage of our Services or emails using cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies, and through log files, pixels, and end-user website activity and other technologies. We also use third-party analytics services on our Services. The information so collected, may include Personal Data. If you communicate with us on phone or internet-based voice or video call, we may record or monitor that call, including for support, sales and quality assurance purposes. If you visit our premises, we may ask you to provide your name, email address, phone number, company name, and information about your health status (if mandated by local authorities). If you attend an event or visit our premises, we may collect your image or video, including through CCTV technologies.
Information that we collect from others. We may also collect information about you from third parties, which may include Personal Data. If we receive Personal Data about you or information from a third- party, such persons are responsible for their own compliance with applicable data privacy laws. For example, the person arranging your access to our Services (such as your employer) may give us access to your information (such as to set up a user account for you and enable you to access our Services).
Information we process
We process Personal Data for the following purposes and based on the following legal grounds of processing:
For the performance of a contract, such as our contract with you to provide Services. For example, we may use your Personal Data like your name and email address to enable your account on our Services pursuant to a service contract.
For our legitimate interests such as (i) to provide our Services, (ii) handle enquiries, complaints and provide support, (iii) survey and research purposes, (iv) understanding usage patterns and developing and improving our Services, (v) marketing, (vi) enforcing our terms and protecting our rights and property, (vii) participating in and finalising arrangements for sale, merger, acquisition, restructuring, joint venture or other disposition (including in bankruptcy or similar proceedings) or any similar transaction and (viii) complying with applicable law, and valid requests from judicial and governmental authorities.

How we share and protect your information
We may share your Personal Data for the purposes set out in this Statement, with the following categories of recipients (i) our affiliates or service providers (ii) person providing your access to our Services (such as your employer), (iii) any person you have asked us to share information with, (iv) judicial and governmental authorities (based on valid requests) and (v) third parties in connection sale, merger, acquisition, restructuring, joint venture or other disposition (including in bankruptcy or similar proceedings) or any similar transaction. Your Personal Data may be processed outside your jurisdiction.
We ensure that the recipient of your Personal Data offers an adequate level of protection and security, for instance by entering into the appropriate back- to-back agreements and, if required, standard contractual clauses or an alternative mechanism for the transfer of data. We implement technical and organizational measures such as data encryption, access controls, and regular security audits to protect your data. For data transfers outside the EU/EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses and comply with applicable data protection laws. Except for cases where we obtain your consent, we will not use your Personal Data to help improve, train or develop our machine learning or artificial intelligence models for any of the purposes outlined in this Statement.
Your Rights
You may have certain rights (such relating to rectification, erasure etc.) relating to your Personal Data, subject to and depending on your local and applicable data protection law. For submitting requests to exercise your rights, send us a request at contact@synaptic.com. We aim to respond within one month of receipt of your request. If an extension is needed, we will inform you of the reason and duration of the extension. Further identification may be required.
You may exercise Your rights of access, rectification, cancellation and opposition, as guaranteed by the applicable data privacy regulations, by contacting Us. If You make a request, We will try our best to respond to You as soon as possible. You have the right to complain to a Data Protection Authority about Our collection and use of Your Personal Data. We utilize first party and third-party cookies and similar or related technologies (collectively referred to as ‘cookies’) to ensure appropriate functioning of our Services, undertake storage and managing of user preferences, engaging in marketing activities, enabling personalization of Services, and gathering, analyzing and reporting on analytic and usage data.
Data Security
We take appropriate precautions and reasonable security practices and procedures, including organizational, technical, and physical measures to help safeguard against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, and unauthorized disclosure of, or access to, the information we process or use. However, no method of storage or transmission is fully secure. You are solely responsible for protecting your password, limiting access to your devices and signing out of Services. Marketing and Engagement
We may deliver marketing and event communications to you across various platforms such as email, telephone, text messaging, direct mail and online. Where required by law, we will ask you to explicitly opt in to receive marketing from us. We may also engage in marketing activities on third-party platforms, but such activities are subject to the privacy statements and other terms applicable to such platforms. We use tracking technologies to determine engagement metrics and impact of our marketing communications and also analyse user engagement on our Services including by tracking hovers, clicks, word searches and information entered on forms etc.
