Vibe Coding’s Second Act

Turns out, the adoption numbers outlived the hype.

Vibe coding is no longer a 2025 sugar high: great for demos, unreliable for real software. 18 months after its breakout moment, the adoption curves are still moving up. Emergent crossed 5M users in just 7 months. Rocket.new surpassed 650,000 active users across 180 countries.

The category itself has matured. What began as a set of rapid prototyping tools is increasingly becoming a way to build production-grade software. Startups like Mayson and SageOx are now deploying applications that hold up in real-world environments. This is the exact objection that critics raised when the category first emerged.

Suffice to say, it’s still a vibe.
